Premium 65/90/65 triple-durometer polyurethane squeegee blade combining flexible 65-durometer printing edges with a rigid 90-durometer center for controlled ink transfer, reduced blade flex, and consistent screen printing performance.

Characteristics

The Chromaline 65/90/65 Red-White-Red Triple Duro Squeegee is a professional-grade polyurethane screen printing blade engineered to provide an excellent balance of ink deposit, blade stability, and print control in demanding textile printing applications.

Its triple-durometer 65/90/65 construction combines softer 65-durometer red outer layers with a rigid 90-durometer white center. The softer printing edges provide the flexibility needed for smooth ink transfer and good screen contact, while the harder center reinforces the blade to help maintain the proper printing angle and reduce excessive blade flex or rollover during the print stroke.

This combination makes the 65/90/65 configuration especially useful for production environments where printers want the ink-transfer characteristics of a softer blade while maintaining greater stability than a conventional single-durometer squeegee.

Chromaline manufactures its textile squeegees from a high-quality polyurethane formulation engineered for excellent chemical and abrasion resistance. The blade provides excellent resistance to solvents and UV inks with low swelling, helping maintain consistent performance in demanding screen printing environments.

The premium factory-cut edge provides a sharp, consistent printing surface for reliable ink transfer. Chromaline squeegee material also offers good resistance to abrasion and nicking and is not affected by humidity, helping maintain blade integrity during extended production use.

When the printing edge eventually becomes worn, the polyurethane material provides good re-sharpening characteristics, allowing the edge to be restored and helping extend the useful service life of the blade.

Supplied as a 12-foot blade-only roll, the material measures 2 inches high by 3/8 inch thick and can be cut to the exact lengths required for individual squeegee handles. This allows screen printing shops to create multiple custom-length squeegees from a single roll while reducing the need to stock numerous pre-cut blade sizes.

Usage Tips
  • Cut the 12-foot roll to the exact blade length required for the squeegee handle and printing application.
  • Make clean, square cuts to help ensure proper installation and even pressure across the blade.
  • Secure the blade evenly in a compatible squeegee holder before printing.
  • Use the 65-durometer outer edge when increased flexibility and smooth ink transfer are desired.
  • The rigid 90-durometer center helps support the softer printing edges and minimize excessive blade rollover.
  • Maintain a consistent squeegee angle, pressure, and print speed for repeatable ink deposits.
  • Inspect the printing edge regularly for nicks, rounding, or uneven wear.
  • Re-sharpen the blade when necessary to restore a clean printing edge and extend service life.
  • Rotate or replace heavily worn blade sections when re-sharpening can no longer restore the desired edge.
  • Clean ink and compatible chemicals from the blade after production according to recommended shop procedures.
  • Avoid unnecessary prolonged exposure to aggressive cleaning chemicals even though the polyurethane formulation provides excellent chemical resistance.
  • Store unused squeegee material clean, dry, and away from excessive heat or direct sunlight.
