Triangle Ink 1701 Phoenix White is a professional low-bleed plastisol ink from Triangle Ink's STA-TRUE 1700 Series. It is formulated for printing on polyester and 50/50 polyester/cotton blends where garment dyes can migrate into conventional plastisol inks and discolor the finished print.

Phoenix White combines high opacity and bleed resistance with a creamy consistency that provides smooth printability. Triangle Ink specifically notes that its consistency works well on automatic presses while helping minimize ink buildup during production.

Its versatility makes it suitable as an underbase, stand-alone white, or highlight white, allowing printers to use one white ink across a variety of production applications.

Designed for professional textile screen printing, Triangle Ink 1701 Phoenix White is suitable for polyester and compatible blended garments, including T-shirts, sweatshirts, jerseys, fleece goods, and other athletic or leisure apparel.

Usage Tips ▼
  • Mix Before Printing: Stir the ink thoroughly before production to ensure a smooth, uniform printing consistency.
  • Mesh Selection: Select mesh based on the desired ink deposit and artwork detail. Triangle Ink identifies 110T monofilament as a popular starting point, with 60T–160T monofilament or equivalent suitable for other applications.
  • Automatic Printing: Take advantage of the ink's creamy consistency for smooth printing and reduced buildup during automatic press production.
  • Underbase Printing: Use Phoenix White as an underbase beneath additional plastisol colors when opacity and resistance to dye migration are important.
  • Low-Bleed Applications: Always perform a test print on the actual garment before beginning production. Dye migration can vary significantly between fabrics and garment dyes.
  • Garment Color Testing: Triangle Ink cautions that ghosting may occur on some earth-tone or pastel-colored garments. Test these fabrics carefully before production.
  • Proper Curing: Cure the ink at approximately 315°F–330°F, adjusting for ink deposit and dryer efficiency. Verify that the complete ink film reaches the required cure conditions.
  • Production Testing: Perform wash and adhesion testing before full production and whenever garments, printing conditions, or dryer settings change.
Important Printing Information ▼
  • Low-Bleed Performance: Phoenix White is formulated to help reduce dye migration on polyester and 50/50 polyester/cotton blends. Results depend on the garment and dye system.
  • Test Before Production: Always test the ink on the actual garment before beginning a production run, particularly when printing on dye-sensitive fabrics.
  • Ghosting: Some earth-tone and pastel-colored garments may experience ghosting. Test these garments carefully before committing to production.
  • Cure Temperature: The specified cure range is approximately 315°F–330°F, depending on ink deposit, color, and dryer efficiency.
  • Complete Cure: Ensure the entire ink film reaches the required curing conditions. Dryer settings alone do not confirm that the ink has fully cured.
  • Wash Testing: Conduct wash and adhesion testing to verify curing and print durability.
